Hello Lynn,
No, I have never heard of anything like what you describe. There are, however, a few things that you may find of interest.
You did not mention your son's age, but Sinulair for children 6 years old or older may interact with NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), phenobarbital, or phenytoin. This could result in an anaphylactic reaction. Prednisone is a steroidal anti-inflammatory so it is unlikely that it reacted with the Sinulair. Is it possible your son had taken a NSAID or something containing a NSAID or one of the others?
Since your son is taking nebulized Albuterol, I must assume he is having trouble with asthma or some other breathing difficulty. Please consider alternative options for asthma. We have seen marvelous results with dietary changes and enzyme therapies with all childhood asthmatic problems. You may wish to call 800-614-4400 and ask for the name and number of the nearest Associate Enzyme Therapist to where you live.
Best of Health,
