Dear Doc,
I am blood type O and know that white potatoes are bad for my blood type. However, I was recently hospitalized in May for 15 days for depression. The dietitician would not honor my request for a special diet, so I had to eat what I could to keep myself from getting sick. I started eating white potatoes, and I started feeling really good. My depression lifted and I started laughing and feeling wonderful, like I have never felt before. I also was doing a lot of running, and I am sure that helped. One day after eating the potatoes and running, I couldn't stop laughing. One of the guys in the hospital with me who had been getting on my nerves noticed my change in attitude. I looked at him and couldn't stop laughing. I have not felt that good since, and I wonder if it would be okay to eat some more white potatoes (I ate about three baked potatoes that day) and still stay on the blood type O diet. I do eat sweet potatoes, but they do not give me the same kick as the white potatoes did. Thanks in advance for your help. | |
