Hello Donna,
Being "always tired" can be caused by any number of things. For example, just reviewing your medications reveals several things:
Prescriptive thyroid medication can cause trouble sleeping. Inadequate sleep definitely results in being tired frequently.
Cholesterol medication can cause muscle soreness and anemia. Since your "last blood workup came back ok," the anemia may not be a problem.
There are several types of high blood pressure medication. They can cause fatigue, sleep problems and excessive tiredness as well as joint pain.
Hydrocodone or Ibuprofen can cause trouble sleeping and unusual tiredness as well as joint or muscle pain.
Which came first, your chronic back pain or your meds? It might be worthwhile to have your symptoms and meds reviewed by a wholistic physician. S/he may be able to unprescribe some and/or prescribe others with fewer side effects.
Best of Health,
