Since you are already taking synthroid (a synthetic prescriptive medication) I would strongly recommend your contacting a physician who uses and is knowledgeable about natural (bio-identical) hormones. Natural is always better if it will work for you.
Discuss all your lab results with this more naturally oriented physician. You may require further lab tests, such as thyroid antibody studies.
When you have properly determined the "Cause" of your particular health problem, it will be much easier to decide what you need to do to correct it. Designing the proper program for your specific situation may take a bit of effort on your and your physician's parts, but the results will be worth it.
