teeth breaking off at gum line

  1. 13 years ago

Does anyone have any knowledge of this problem? My 80 yr. old sister is rapidly losing all her teeth--if she touches them, they break off at the gum. There is no pain involved. She eats a well balanced diet but is limited to soft foods now. She was on predisone for 2 years. Any comments or directives will be appreciated.

    Hello M. Kaupke,

Since your sister is not experiencing pain with her teeth breaking off, it must be assumed the nerves are dead. It is also possible the lower parts of her teeth still within the gum line are fused to the jaw bones.

If you could find a really good natural health-oriented dentist, please have your sister see him/her for advice. This is not a simple problem and should be addressed as soon as it is convenient.

    Best of Health,

    Doc Kelley
