Herniated Disc

  1. 10 years ago

I have a lumbar herniated disc that has resulted in a partial foot drop. No way that I would go under surgery. I've been doing physical therapy and now accupuncture that helps some. But, I have right ankle pain that varies from moment to moment. What else could you recomend?!! thank you.

    Hello Ray,

There are two suggestions for you.

    1. Look into IDD (Intervertebral Disk Distraction) Therapy. You can Google this and find lots of the same types of therapy by different names. Try to locate someone close to you since you'll need to go often for about a month. Non-surgical and very effective.

    2. Check this website: http://www.arthritisusa.net and then give them a call. They began their work with knees but are now doing necks and backs. Nowhere near the cost or risks of surgery. Might be well worth trying.

    Best of Health,
