Eustacian Tube Dysfunction

  1. 2 years ago

A few weeks ago, my ENT diagnosed me to have Eustacian Tube Dysfunction. I noticed that a lot of people with the same issue seem to have it a lot worse than me. Mine started after taking a flight while recovering from allergies. I don't have any ear pains, fluid in the ear, dizziness, or any of the other symptoms, but my ears just won't pop. It has been over three months and I am seriously annoyed. The ear clog has gotten much better in a way where my ears have adjusted to pressure better, but again, the clog is still there. It now travels from one ear to the next throughout the day. I have tried everything I could, even changing my diet (no dairy, wheat, red meat). I have made an appointment with a chiropractor this weekend to receive ear adjustments. Does this procedure actually help? Will this make it worse? There seems to be very limited information regarding chiropractic care for ETD. I would love some advice.

    Hello Jasmine1020,

Yes, very gentle and safe adjustments could help with your ear problems. Also, please ask your chiropractor to check your jaws. Problems there, as well as in some areas of your spine, can also be involved with ear problems.
